Highlights of the Memory Care Director Position:

The Memory Care Director is responsible for the overall leadership, development, and success of the Connections (Memory Care) program. This role ensures the delivery of compassionate, person-centered care while fostering a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for residents, families, and staff.

  • Plan, develop, and oversee daily activities, life enrichment programs, and outings that are meaningful, engaging, and appropriate for residents with memory loss.
  • Cultivate a positive social culture within the Memory Care program that promotes dignity, independence, and quality of life.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for families, providing regular communication, emotional support, education, and care updates.
  • Implement and maintain staff training programs focused on dementia care best practices, including ongoing education and skill development.
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor Memory Care staff, fostering a collaborative, compassionate, and accountable team environment.
  • Partner with Health & Wellness teams to ensure individualized care plans are followed and residents’ needs are consistently met.
  • Monitor and evaluate resident engagement, behavior, and well-being, making adjustments to programming and care approaches as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, community policies, and safety standards related to memory care services.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management of Memory Care staff.
  • Promote a culture of respect, empathy, and excellence in care for both residents and team members.
  • Three (3) years of Memory Care experience, including management, handling complex behavior issues and educating families
  • Proven success in management and leadership
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills and a professional demeanor
  • Must be self-directed, able to prioritize task as well as have the ability to accept directives

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $70,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Pegasus Senior Living (PSL) offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage, disability insurance, 401(k) with match, paid time off (PTO), Flexible hours for better work-life balance, Employee assistance program.(all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements)., Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
